I think it's a scam pure and simple - the hardware seems to work fine when it's a 'casual' (Angry Birds / Wreckateer) or 'kid-friendly' (Sesame Street / Happy Action Theatre) game, but somehow when it's a serious (Steel Battalion / Star Wars) game nothing controls properly? Please.
I've beat all three Fables and I honestly think this will be my favourite after I finally get it later this month.
As for this routine of top previews and terrible reviews, we've seen it before and know it's basically a scam, so if you're interested in this game at all I'd strongly recommend just trying it for yourself.
Not ruined, but until they mark genuine achievement rather than Completed Level Two, Beat Game On Easy, Played 250 Games Online, Met Justin Bieber, they'll continue to leave a bad taste.
This website gives us a refreshing take on the phrase "pretty much confirmed".
I've learnt to ignore Kinect 'reviews', lol.
Most recent video I saw of this looked kickass so it's still getting bought.
Interesting info.
I'm all for more developers using Kinect, but games get cancelled for a reason and if they couldn't make something that's faithful to Gears while using the motion camera (at this stage, at least) then it's for the best they didn't.
:P
Suppose any response is better than none!
And a master of spin :P
All Star Racing was fantastic and the sequel looks to be even better, so that's development time well spent.
Both episodes of Sonic 4 were good, Colours and Generations were excellent. Altogether the series is definitely on the up.
That video was really annoying.
The reason that cutscene stands out is basically because the entire rest of the game consists of empty, repetitive sand and snow environments - and even then, it's just a sand area with a lighting effect spilt over it.
See this bugs me, "the same every year", as if these companies are releasing the EXACT SAME product yearly.
These supposed identical sequels always feature updates, improvements and changes - however seemingly minor - that fans of series like Fifa or Madden appreciate.
So please, get it out of your heads that these games are "all the same", and kindly stop applying the stupidity to other venerable series like Street Fighter, Halo and Supe...
I think launches with one great, iconic game (Super Mario 64, Halo, Wii Sports) are always more memorable than ones where there's simply a huge selection to pick from.
As far as Wii U goes, I've narrowed down my day one buys to NSMBU and obviously the pack-in Nintendo Land, and I'm really looking forward to both.
... also, Altered Beast is a kickass game.
I don't pay for either at the moment.
I have had Xbox Gold in the past though and will again if something I want to play online comes out. Meanwhile PS Plus has no appeal to me whatsoever as I see no necessity to it - I just buy a game when it comes out if I want to play it, rather than rent it ... a year later.
Oh yes - and don't forget there's also Nintendo Network's 10% off downloads offer with the Wii U Premium console. That's free and...
I'm not sure what you're getting at here, Capcom clearly are supporting the Wii U so it seems highly likely - if not certain - that all those series will show up on it sooner or later.
And if they do they'd surely have touch support.
Ocean Hunter was cool, I like that style of 'mounted' gun shooting games ... Let's Go Jungle less so but it's kinda fun too.
Don't remember hearing about Psi Phi for PS Move - but with the new touch screen systems it could be worth bringing back, and how about Border Break?
Strider ... anything for a new Strider ...
Ironically the character in Journey - despite being a weakling with no moves or abilities - is at the same time completely invulnerable within the game world ... making for a profoundly boring game.
If you mean 'updated version with extra content on Wii U' then yeah, that's the one I'll probably get too.
Now you're complaining about my use of the word "sickening"?
Got any opinions on the thread topic, lol?
See below, just derp'd with a reply to wrong comment.
Absolutely - if you use the correct commands and have the proper setup (both issues which lie at the feet of the player) these games are not just good, they're bloody amazing.
